Q. What is a Library of Congress Subject Heading LCSH. Where could I find it. Thank you

I have to search a LCSH for my library class but am not sure of where to find it, is it in a database or in the library ?

Answer

The Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) is perhaps the most widely adopted subject indexing language in the world, has been translated into many languages, and is used around the world by libraries large and small.

The Library of Congress Subject Headings are used in our Online Catalog.

Please visit the following webpage to view the LCSH outline.
