Do you have to be a LBCC student to borrow books?

Answer

All Long Beach City College and California State University, Long Beach students, faculty, and staff can check out library materials from the LBCC Library.

Your current student identification card is also your library card.  You will need to be enrolled at LBCC and currently taking classes to check out materials.  If you do not have a student identification card, we can use your driver's license or California identification card to verify that you are currently taking classes.

Alumnus, emeritus, and community members can check out items that are currently in print with a limit of three (3) items. You will need to show a valid photo identification to check out any materials.

Please refer to the current Library Access, Borrowing, & Renewing Policies.
