What are Reserve materials and can they be taken out of the Library?

Answer

The Reserve Collection, also called the Course Reserves, is a selection of specific books, periodical articles, and other materials which instructors require students to read for a particular course. These materials are set aside for short term use in the library and are available for check-out at the Circulation desk.

Please check the Library's catalog to see if your textbook is on reserve.  Click on "Search All Library Resources' and type in the name of the textbook.  If it is available in the course reserves, you will see a note stating the campus and length of borrowing time.  1-day and 7-day course reserve materials may be taken out of the library. 2-hour course reserve materials may not be taken out of the library.

Reserve items are to be returned to the Circulation Desk of the Library from which they were initially checked out. Please DO NOT return reserve materials to outside or in-house book drops; they will accrue fees by the time we get to them. Please ask a Library staff member for more detailed information.
