Videos on Disabilities with Public Performance Rights
Answer
We have numerous videos that are classified as having a Public Performance Right in our Kanopy database. It stream multimedia.
Here the steps to accessing this database and its videos on disability:
- Start at the library homepage
- Click on Search for Articles to arrive at this page
- Click on Streaming Film & Videos to arrive at this page
- Click on Kanopy
- Log in with your Viking ID if off campus
- Search for “disability”
- In the bottom left of the screen make to hover over “Public Performance Right” and click it so that there is an X next to PPR Available. When there is an X, this means you have told the database to search for videos thatare attributed with public performance rights..
- Here is that finalized search results page with PPR available: https://lbcc.kanopy.com/s?query=disability&space=videos&page=0&rows=20&sort=most-relevant&bs_ppr_enabled=+1#!
- Be sure to access videos from this page, since they are the ones with PPR available. For instance, if you click into a video, it takes you to a player page where you will see related videos. There is no guarantee those related videos have PPR attached to them. So please open videos from the search results page into a new tab, and you can come back to the search results page to start a new video. Does that make sense?
