Videos on Disabilities with Public Performance Rights

Answer

We have numerous videos that are classified as having a Public Performance Right in our Kanopy database. It stream multimedia.

Here the steps to accessing this database and its videos on disability:

  1. Start at the library homepage
  2. Click on Search for Articles to arrive at this page
  3. Click on Streaming Film & Videos to arrive at this page
  4. Click on Kanopy
  5. Log in with your Viking ID if off campus
  6. Search for “disability”
  7. In the bottom left of the screen make to hover over “Public Performance Right” and click it so that there is an X next to PPR Available. When there is an X, this means you have told the database to search for videos thatare attributed with public performance rights..
  8. Here is that finalized search results page with PPR available: https://lbcc.kanopy.com/s?query=disability&space=videos&page=0&rows=20&sort=most-relevant&bs_ppr_enabled=+1#!
  9. Be sure to access videos from this page, since they are the ones with PPR available. For instance, if you click into a video, it takes you to a player page where you will see related videos. There is no guarantee those related videos have PPR attached to them. So please open videos from the search results page into a new tab, and you can come back to the search results page to start a new video. Does that make sense?
